WHAT IS IT

PRF stands for Platelet-Rich Fibrin—a regenerative injection therapy that uses a concentration of your own fibrin and active proteins to promote healing and cell renewal. PRF injections extract your own blood cells via centrifuge, which are re-administered through injection.

PRF injections can be injected to the under eyes for an improvement in pigment, dark circles, wrinkles, thickening of crepey skin and more.

PRF injections are also used for hair restoration in patients who are experiencing thinning or balding.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

Full results can be seen 3-4 months after completing the recommended amount of sessions.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

The needs of each patient vary. Typically, 3-5 sessions are needed for under eye injections and 4-8 for hair restoration.

IS THERE DOWNTIME?

As is the case with all injections, there is always a risk of redness, bruising, and pain caused by the needle used.  For PRF under eye injections, patients may experience some swelling and/or puffiness that can last about three to five days.

IS THIS SAFE?

Since PRF uses a patients own tissues, it is safe and can be administered alone or in conjunction with other procedures and treatments.
